Do you use a Dymo LabelWriter 4XL and want to print shipping labels for DHL, DPD, UPS, FedEx or Royal Mail? Then the S0904980 compatible label is the right choice. Webshops, fulfilment companies and logistics service providers use this label extensively. The size is 104 x 159 mm, 220 labels per roll.
Our S0904980 compatible labels have a TOP coating. This extra protective layer ensures barcodes remain reliably scannable, even when a package is handled roughly during transport. That prevents returns and lost shipments caused by unreadable addresses and failed scans at the carrier.
These labels are only compatible with the Dymo LabelWriter 4XL. The 5XL has a chip reader that rejects rolls without a chip. Do you use DHL Express or another service with a longer label format? Then choose the Dymo 2166659 (102 x 210mm).
No. Dymo has built a chip reader into the LabelWriter 5XL that authenticates the roll. The 5XL only accepts rolls with a Dymo chip, both original and compatible rolls must contain this chip. Our S0904980 4XL compatible labels do not have a chip and therefore do not work in the 5XL. For the 5XL, you need our S0904980 5XL variant, which does include a chip.
Yes. S0904980 is the standard format for printing shipping labels with a Dymo 4XL label printer and is supported by DHL, DPD, UPS, FedEx and Royal Mail.
With DHL, it depends on the service. For DHL Parcel (domestic and standard Europe), the 104 × 159 mm format is correct, this is the most widely used format for DHL parcel labels. For DHL Express and some international DHL services, a longer format of approximately 102 × 210 mm is used, as those labels require more space due to an additional barcode. Check your DHL label before ordering. If you use the longer format, choose our Dymo 2166659 (102 × 210 mm) compatible labels.
Yes. Sendcloud support printing shipping labels directly on a label printer. The S0904980 (104 x 159 mm) is the correct size for this, it is the A6 format used by both platforms. In the platform's printer settings, select 'A6' as the paper format.
No, not with these labels. That type of marking is a well-known characteristic of direct thermal labels. The thermal layer reacts to heat and pressure, including from your fingernail. With standard ECO labels, this happens quickly and the marks are clearly visible. Our S0904980 compatible labels have a TOP coating: an additional protective layer over the thermal layer. This significantly reduces sensitivity to friction and pressure. You can run your fingernail across them without leaving marks. For parcels that sometimes take a fair amount of punishment, labels with TOP coating are recommended. This prevents unnecessary returns due to unreadable addresses and barcodes.
