Seiko SLP-2RLH compatible labels, 28 x 89mm, 260 labels, permanent

Labels that go into the freezer face a problem: plain paper absorbs moisture, softens, and often peels off once it thaws or fogs up. This label for the Seiko SLP-2RLH is therefore made from a different material, so it keeps sticking and stays legible down to -20°C.

Think of a lab storing samples at -20°C, a catering business freezing ready meals, or a butcher or fishmonger labelling products for the freezer. For labels that stay at room temperature, such as an address label, the standard Seiko SLP-2RLH is more affordable and perfectly suitable.

Instead of paper, this label is made of polypropylene (PP): a material that doesn't absorb moisture and doesn't tear in the cold. The adhesive layer is a special permanent hot-melt glue that keeps holding even in cold and damp conditions. Apply the label on a dry surface free of frost or ice, at a minimum of -15°C, so before the product goes into the freezer. After that, it withstands temperatures down to -20°C.

A roll holds 260 labels measuring 28 x 89 mm. Since the labels are direct thermal, no ink, ribbon or toner is needed, just a compatible Seiko label printer. Like all our labels, these are 100% BPA-, BPS- and phthalate-free, making them suitable for use around food too.
