These labels are folded like an accordion. This has several advantages compared to labels on a roll. The way in which the labels are folded ensures that the labels are neatly placed on top of each other after printing. This is useful when you print multiple labels in succession. Fanfold labels are more environmentally friendly than labels on a roll, because they take up less space because there is no core roll.
